ATEN CS1788 Review
The ATEN CS1788 is an 8-port dual-link DVI KVM switch with 2560x1600 at 60Hz, OSD menu navigation and cascading.
An 8-computer dual-link DVI switch for workstation banks and server racks still built on DVI. Dual-link support takes it to 2560x1600 at 60Hz, above the 1920x1200 ceiling of single-link DVI switches, and it cascades to large installations. It is not a 4K or DisplayPort switch.
Dual-Link DVI at 2560x1600
Dual-link DVI lets the CS1788 carry 2560x1600 at 60Hz, higher than the 1920x1200 limit of single-link DVI switches.
OSD Menu for Fast Computer Selection
An on-screen display lets the operator name and browse all 8 connected computers rather than memorizing port numbers, a meaningful convenience at this port count.
Comparison to Alternatives
