Corsair CMH32GX5M2B6600C38 Review
Corsair's CMH32GX5M2B6600C38 is a 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6600 desktop memory kit rated CL38, for a true latency of 11.5ns.
Speed and Latency
CL38 at 6600MT/s works out to 11.5ns of true latency (38 / (6600 / 2) x 1000). It is not a latency pick. 55% of the desktop DDR5 kits in our catalog are as tight or tighter.
Platform Fit
This is for DDR5 desktops: AMD AM5 on 600 or 800 series chipsets, and Intel 600, 700 or 800 series boards with DDR5 slots. It physically will not go into a DDR4 board. On AM5, speeds above 6000 to 6400MT/s usually switch the memory controller to a 2:1 ratio, which adds latency. 6600MT/s suits Intel boards better. Profiles: XMP 3.0.
Capacity and Configuration
It ships as two 16GB sticks, one per channel, the layout every consumer board runs best with. Plan capacity now: adding a second kit for four DDR5 sticks usually forces the memory down well below its rated speed. 32GB covers current games with a browser and Discord open, plus most photo and video work.
Build and Cooling
It has RGB lighting on a black heat spreader. There is no published module height, so measure clearance under a big air cooler before buying. The memory chips are not disclosed. That only matters if you plan to tighten timings manually.
Speed Score
It scores 8 out of 10 on our DDR5 Speed Score, which weighs transfer rate and true latency against every other DDR5 kit we list. Do not compare it with DDR4 scores.
Our verdict

Best for
- Builds that want RGB lighting
Not for
- Manual timing tuning: memory chips are not disclosed
- Adding a second kit later for four sticks

FAQs
Is the Corsair CMH32GX5M2B6600C38 compatible with my motherboard?
It fits DDR5 desktop boards (AMD AM5, Intel 600, 700 and 800 series with DDR5 slots). It does not fit DDR4 boards.
Is CL38 at 6600MT/s good?
It works out to 11.5ns true latency. That is tighter than 45% of the desktop DDR5 kits we list.
Can I add a second kit later for four sticks?
It is not recommended. Four DDR5 sticks usually run well below their rated speed. Buy the total capacity you need as one two-stick kit.
Is 6600MT/s good for AMD Ryzen 7000 and 9000?
It works, but above about 6400MT/s AM5 usually switches to a 2:1 controller ratio. A 6000MT/s kit is the safer AM5 choice.
