Corsair CMT64GX5M4B6200C32 64GB Review
The Corsair CMT64GX5M4B6200C32 is a 64GB (4x16GB) DDR5-6200 CL32 quad-module kit from Corsair's Dominator Platinum RGB line.
Note the fix here: this is a genuine 4-module, 64GB kit (4x16GB), not a 16GB single stick as the old listing suggested. Running all four DIMM slots gives you the capacity for heavy multitasking, but a 2-module 32GB or 64GB kit at the same or higher speed will usually run more comfortably at rated timings, since populating all four slots stresses the memory controller more than a 2-DIMM kit.
Performance
At 6200MT/s CL32, true latency computes to 10.3ns, a solid result right around the AM5 sweet spot. Running as a 4x16GB quad-module kit gives you 64GB total, useful for VMs and heavy multitasking.
Compatibility
Populating all four DIMM slots is harder on the memory controller than a 2-module kit, so expect this kit to need a bit more tuning (or a slightly lower speed via XMP/EXPO fallback profile) than an equivalent 2x32GB kit to hit its rated 6200MT/s reliably.
Comparison to Alternatives
Corsair's own CMT64GX5M2B6000C40 reaches the same 64GB total with only 2 modules, which is generally the easier kit to run at full rated speed if you don't specifically need all 4 slots filled.
Our verdict
Reviewed by Burooj Alam. Rated by us, not by users.
Best for
- Workstation builds needing 64GB across all 4 DIMM slots
- Content creators and VM users who need high total capacity
Not for
- Buyers who could get 64GB from an easier-to-tune 2-module kit instead
- Overclockers wanting maximum headroom (quad-DIMM kits clock less reliably)
