The Corsair Vengeance CMK16GX5M2E6000Z36 is the plain, non-RGB version of the 16GB (2x8GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 kit covered elsewhere on this site in its RGB RS form. Same 6000MHz frequency, same CL36 timing, same E-revision bin, same 1.35V voltage, no lighting hardware and a lower price as a result. This is the cheapest way into genuine 6000MHz DDR5 in Corsair's current range.
Performance and Timings
CL36 at 6000MHz gives roughly 12ns true latency, identical to the RGB version of this exact kit, since removing lighting has no effect on the underlying memory timings. This still hits the frequency AMD recommends for Ryzen's fabric ratio, making it a genuine performance option at entry-level pricing rather than a compromise product.
Compatibility
DDR5 only. Enable XMP 3.0 on Intel or EXPO on AMD to reach 6000MHz. 8GB-per-module kits are among the most broadly validated DDR5 configurations across current motherboard QVLs.
Module Count and Rank
Two 8GB modules. Buy the capacity actually needed in one matched kit; mixing separately purchased DDR5 kits remains a common source of instability.
Design and Build
Plain anodized aluminium heat spreader, no lighting, the shortest module height available in this speed and capacity tier as a direct result. This is the pick for small form factor builds or anyone with zero interest in RGB.
Overclocking and BIOS Setup
Boots at JEDEC baseline until XMP or EXPO is enabled. Select the correct profile, choose 6000MHz CL36, save, reboot, verify in CPU-Z.
Comparison to Sibling Products
Directly comparable to the RGB RS version of this exact kit, minus lighting and its cost. The capacity step-up within the same non-RGB line is Corsair's 32GB Vengeance kit at 6000MHz CL30, a real upgrade in both latency and headroom for a real price increase.
Who This Kit Is Actually For
The most price-sensitive entry into 6000MHz DDR5. Full fabric-ratio benefit on AM5, lowest price point in Corsair's current 6000MHz range. Small form factor builds with zero interest in RGB. Shortest available module height in this speed tier. Not for anyone building a primary system from scratch. 32GB is the more comfortable capacity baseline for most 2026 builds; this is better suited to a budget or secondary machine.
