Intel UHD Graphics 770 Review

The Intel UHD Graphics 770 is an integrated Xe/Gen 12.2 GPU with 32 execution units at up to 1450MHz that shares system DDR4/DDR5 memory, found in most 12th and 13th Gen Intel Core desktop chips.

The UHD Graphics 770 is the integrated GPU most Intel desktop buyers actually have, it ships in the vast majority of 12th and 13th Gen Core desktop chips, from budget i3 parts up through unlocked K-series flagships. It's not built for gaming, Intel doesn't market it that way, 32 execution units at up to 1450MHz is enough for desktop use, video playback, and light older titles, but it sits well behind AMD's RDNA 3-based 780M or 760M in anything remotely demanding. We list it because "does my Intel CPU have a graphics card" is one of the most common questions a new PC builder asks, and the honest answer for most current Intel desktop chips is yes, this one, with real limitations worth knowing before you assume you're covered for gaming.

A Display-and-Productivity GPU, Not a Gaming One

Intel's desktop integrated graphics have historically prioritized reliability and basic multi-monitor/video support over gaming performance, and the UHD 770 continues that pattern. It'll drive multiple 4K monitors for productivity work without issue, it just isn't the GPU to rely on for anything beyond the lightest gaming.

Comparison to Alternatives

Against our AMD Radeon 760M or Radeon 780M, both AMD chips meaningfully outperform the UHD 770 in any GPU-bound scenario thanks to their newer RDNA 3 architecture and higher execution/compute unit counts, if integrated gaming performance actually matters, AMD's current G-series APUs are the stronger pick. Against Intel's own Arc-branded integrated graphics in Meteor Lake and newer Core Ultra chips, the UHD 770 is a clear step down, Intel's own naming split (UHD vs Arc) reflects a real generational leap in integrated graphics capability.

Expert rating3 / 10

Intel's standard desktop integrated GPU across two CPU generations, fine for display output and productivity, not a gaming GPU by any measure.

Best for

  • Office, productivity, and multi-monitor desktop use with no gaming requirement.
  • Anyone who already knows they'll add a discrete card and just needs display output until then.

Not for

  • Any gaming beyond the lightest older or 2D titles.
  • Anyone comparing integrated GPU gaming capability, AMD's 780M/760M are meaningfully stronger.
