IOGEAR GCS72U 2-Port USB Cable KVM Switch with Audio and Mic Review

The GCS72U is IOGEAR's compact 2-port USB cable KVM switch that adds 2.1 stereo audio and microphone sharing on top of the same basic VGA/USB KVM formula as the GCS22U.

You get a self-contained switch with molded-in cables plus a remote port selector, making it a tidy option for a dual-PC desk where you also want speakers and a mic to follow the active machine. It's still VGA-only and doesn't include a general-purpose USB hub, so it's aimed squarely at basic desktop switching rather than multimedia production setups.

Audio Sets It Apart

The main upgrade over the GCS22U is 2.1 stereo and microphone switching, useful for anyone doing calls or media playback across two machines.

Still VGA and Bus-Powered

No power adapter is needed, but that also means no video beyond VGA resolutions and no USB 3.0 peripheral sharing.
