Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs IOGEAR GCS72U 2-Port USB Cable KVM Switch with Audio and Mic: Comparison

What is the difference between Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO and IOGEAR GCS72U 2-Port USB Cable KVM Switch?

Start with max resolution, because it is the widest measured gap between them: Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO 1920x1200 against IOGEAR GCS72U 2-Port USB Cable KVM Switch 2048x1536, 27% in favour of IOGEAR GCS72U 2-Port USB Cable KVM Switch. Max resolution single display runs the same way, 1920x1200 on the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO versus 2048x1536 on the IOGEAR GCS72U 2-Port USB Cable KVM Switch, another win for IOGEAR GCS72U 2-Port USB Cable KVM Switch.

Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO vs IOGEAR GCS72U 2-Port USB Cable KVM Switch: which one fits your build

The Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO is the one to take for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not built for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. It also earns its place with control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. Avoid it for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. Buy the IOGEAR GCS72U 2-Port USB Cable KVM Switch for Dual-PC desks that also want speaker and microphone switching and users who prefer a self-powered, cable-integrated switch, though it is the wrong buy for HDMI/DisplayPort setups and anyone needing a general USB hub for extra peripherals. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup.
