Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch vs Dell XPS 15 9560: Comparison
Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch vs Dell XPS 15 9560: the series id difference
The first real difference is series id: Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch macbook-pro-16-m5 against Dell XPS 15 9560 dell-xps-15-9560.
Who each one is for
it is not the pick for portability-first buyers, 2.14kg and a 16-inch footprint is substantial. The same goes for professionals who want the longest battery life in the Pro lineup. It is not the one for anyone on a tight budget, 16-inch models start higher than 14-inch. The Dell XPS 15 9560 is the one to take for buyers wanting a 2017-era 4K creator laptop and DIY screen replacement projects (well-documented panel), though it is the wrong buy for sustained GPU workloads (known thermal throttling). Our rating of the Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch (8.5/10): the 16 inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro has 24GB of unified memory, 1TB of storage and a Liquid Retina XDR display at 1000 nits and 120Hz. A 100Wh battery, Thunderbolt 5 and WiFi 7 suit professionals who want long battery life and a large screen for editing work. At 2.14 kg with a 16 inch footprint it is substantial to carry. Memory and storage are fixed, so choose your configuration carefully.
