What is the difference between ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 15 G532LWS and Dell G15 5530?
Start with refresh rate, because it is the widest measured gap between them: ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 15 G532LWS 240 Hz against Dell G15 5530 165 Hz, 31% in favour of ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 15 G532LWS.
ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 15 G532LWS vs Dell G15 5530: which one fits your build
The ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 15 G532LWS is the one to take for competitive/esports gaming prioritizing frame rate, though it is the wrong buy for buyers wanting higher resolution over refresh rate. Buy the Dell G15 5530 for budget 1080p gaming and storage upgraders wanting a cheap SATA add-on, though it is not the pick for 1440p gaming and thin/light preference. Our rating of the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 15 G532LWS (7.5/10): the ROG Strix Scar 15 pairs a Core i7-10875H with a GeForce GTX or RTX 20 series GPU, 16GB of DDR4 and a 15.6 inch 1080p IPS screen at 240Hz. A 1TB drive with a free second SSD slot make it a fast option for competitive esports play. The 2020 platform is dated, and there is no Thunderbolt. At 2.35 kg with a 66Wh battery, it is heavy and best used plugged in. The 1080p resolution also trades sharpness for frame rate.
