Dell G15 5530 Review

Dell G15 5530 is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop with a Core i7-13650HX (14 cores), GeForce RTX 4060 (140 W), 16GB DDR5, 512GB NVMe SSD and a 1920x1080 165Hz IPS display.

A value gaming laptop for 1080p play. The RTX 4060 can draw up to 140 W, and the 165 Hz IPS panel covers 100% sRGB. Both SO-DIMM slots are used, with a 32 GB maximum, and there are 2 M.2 slots with 1 free. No SATA bay is listed. The weight is 2.85 kg, so it is on the heavy side, and the battery is 86Wh with a 240 W adapter. It has no Thunderbolt and WiFi 6.

Overview

The G15 5530 pairs Raptor Lake HX with an RTX 4060 at 1080p, and uniquely among current gaming laptops keeps a 2.5-inch SATA bay free for a low-cost storage add-on.

Expert rating7.9 / 10

The G15 5530 has a Core i7-13650HX, an RTX 40 series GPU with 8GB of VRAM and 16GB of DDR5 in SO-DIMM slots. The 15.6-inch 1080p IPS panel runs at 165Hz, the 86Wh battery is large and there is a free storage slot. It suits 1080p gaming and CPU-heavy work.
