Lenovo LOQ 15IRH8 vs Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura: Comparison
What is the difference between LOQ 15IRH8 and ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura?
On refresh rate the spread is 17%, LOQ 15IRH8 144 Hz against ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura 120 Hz, so LOQ 15IRH8 takes it.
Who each one is for
The LOQ 15IRH8 is the one to take for buyers who want to upgrade memory and storage later and 1080p gaming at 144Hz without paying thin-and-light prices, though it is not the pick for leaving it at 8GB single channel. It is the wrong buy for anyone who wants a light or quiet laptop, this is 2.4kg. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura suits travel and commuting where under a kilogram matters and long document and code sessions on an excellent OLED panel, though it is the wrong buy for anyone who plans to add memory later, nothing is upgradable and gaming beyond light titles, this is integrated graphics only. Our rating of the LOQ 15IRH8 (7.6/10): A plain gaming laptop that gets the boring decisions right. Two memory slots, two M.2 slots, nothing soldered, and a 144Hz panel that the RTX 4050 can actually drive at 1080p. Buy the 8GB version only if you intend to add the second module immediately. Out of the box it is running single channel, which costs real frame rates on a machine with a discrete GPU.
Where the two are identical
The common ground is wider than the gap: region sold, cpu brand, cpu cores, sustained power source and max ram supported are identical here. They match on 5 further specifications as well.
