AMD Instinct MI250 vs Apple M3 Pro 14-Core GPU: which one fits your build
Buy the AMD Instinct MI250 for buyers comparing AMD's official reference specifications and researching a chip before choosing a board-partner card, though it is not the pick for overclocking-focused enthusiasts (reference clocks only). It is not the one for buyers wanting a specific retail card with cooler and warranty details. The Apple M3 Pro 14-Core GPU is the one to take for users who don't multitask across memory-heavy creative apps simultaneously, though it is the wrong buy for native Windows gaming or CUDA-dependent workloads. The same goes for students and professionals doing everyday photo editing, coding, and light Final Cut Pro work. It is the wrong buy for professional video editing with large multi-track timelines that outgrow the 18GB memory ceiling. Our rating of the Apple M3 Pro 14-Core GPU (6.5/10): A capable entry point into the MacBook Pro line, but the 18GB memory ceiling is the real limiting factor for professional work more than the reduced GPU core count.
