Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs Adder Technology ADDERLink ALIF2112T: Comparison
What is the difference between Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO and ADDERLink ALIF2112T?
Max resolution is where these two genuinely part company, Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO 1920x1200 against ADDERLink ALIF2112T 2560x1600, a 44% lead for ADDERLink ALIF2112T. Max resolution single display runs the same way, 1920x1200 on the Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO versus 2560x1600 on the ADDERLink ALIF2112T, another win for ADDERLink ALIF2112T.
Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs ADDERLink ALIF2112T: which one fits your build
The Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO is the one to take for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not the pick for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. The same goes for control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. Avoid it for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. Buy the ADDERLink ALIF2112T for dual-monitor workstations needing both displays extended over a network and facilities standardizing on Adder's ADDERLink Infinity ecosystem for multi-monitor rooms, though it is not built for single-monitor workstations, where the single-head ALIF1002P is more cost-effective and HDMI or DisplayPort-native workstations. It also earns its place with CAD, trading, or design setups requiring higher per-monitor resolution via dual-link DVI. Our rating of the Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the ADDERLink ALIF2112T (8/10): an efficient dual-head DVI extender for network-routed dual-monitor workstations, a better fit than stacking two single-head units.
