Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs Adder Technology Adder XDIP/P-US: Comparison

Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs Adder XDIP/P-US: the max resolution difference

Computers supported is not the same on both, 4 computers, cascadable to 8 on the Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO versus 1 computers on the Adder XDIP/P-US. Video standard is not the same on both, DVI-I / VGA on the Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO versus HDMI on the Adder XDIP/P-US. They differ on kvm segment too, Desk on the Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO versus Extender on the Adder XDIP/P-US.

Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs Adder XDIP/P-US: which one fits your build

Buy the Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not built for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. The same goes for control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. It is the wrong buy for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. it is not the pick for DisplayPort or 4K/5K resolution needs and budget-limited single-room extension better served by a basic Cat5 extender. It is equally the pick for quiet environments like studios, edit bays or conference rooms needing silent operation. Avoid it for larger multi-room IP KVM matrix deployments, where individual XDIP-US nodes fit better. Our rating of the Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the Adder XDIP/P-US (8/10): A quiet, complete point-to-point HDMI KVM extender pair, the right Adder pick when you just need one link, not a network matrix.

Where the two are identical

Where they agree, they agree completely, max resolution single display, audio support and displays per computer included, so the decision does not turn on any of those.
