Which should you buy, Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO or Black Box Wizard KVM Switch KV2004A?

Buy the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not the pick for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. The same goes for control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. Avoid it for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. The Black Box Wizard KVM Switch KV2004A suits server rooms managing 4 legacy VGA-based servers and budget-conscious rack setups that don't need digital video, though it is not built for modern desks needing USB peripheral sharing or audio switching and anyone needing HDMI, DisplayPort, or 4K resolution. It also earns its place with IT teams needing simple, no-frills KVM switching without USB or audio. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup.
