Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO vs Cable Matters 201160 10Gbps USB-C KVM: which one fits your build

The Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO suits broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not the pick for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. It also earns its place with control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. It is not the one for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. The Cable Matters 201160 10Gbps USB-C KVM is the one to take for sharing fast USB-C peripherals (SSDs, capture devices) between 2 PCs and desks that already have separate monitors per PC, though it is not built for anyone needing video switching (see 201085) and USB 2.0-only peripherals. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the Cable Matters 201160 10Gbps USB-C KVM (6.6/10): A 10Gbps USB-C data/peripheral switch, useful for fast external-drive sharing between two machines rather than full video KVM duty.
