Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs CKL CKL-62TD: Comparison

Who each one is for

The Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO is the one to take for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not the pick for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. It also earns its place with control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. It is the wrong buy for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. Buy the CKL CKL-62TD for mixed USB-C laptop + DisplayPort desktop desks, though it is not built for HDMI-only computers and dual-monitor use. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the CKL CKL-62TD (6/10): A USB-C plus DisplayPort 2-port switch, giving more input flexibility than the plain USB-C model at a similar budget price.
