Who each one is for

The Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO is the one to take for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not built for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. It also earns its place with control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. It is not the one for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. The CKL CKL-64DP-4 suits four-computer single-monitor DisplayPort setups and high refresh-rate DisplayPort switching, though it is not the pick for users needing EDID emulation for stable desktop layout. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the CKL CKL-64DP-4 (6.2/10): A 4-port single-monitor DisplayPort 1.4 KVM with an 8K/144Hz spec sheet, extending CKL's budget high-refresh lineup to more computers.
