Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs IOGEAR GCS82DPC 2-Port 4K Hybrid KVM Switch with DisplayPort, USB-C and Audio: Comparison
Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO vs IOGEAR GCS82DPC 2-Port 4K Hybrid KVM max resolution single display compared
The gap that matters here is max resolution single display: Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO 1920x1200 against IOGEAR GCS82DPC 2-Port 4K Hybrid KVM 4096x2160, which puts IOGEAR GCS82DPC 2-Port 4K Hybrid KVM 74% ahead.
Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO vs IOGEAR GCS82DPC 2-Port 4K Hybrid KVM: which one fits your build
The Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO is the one to take for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is the wrong buy for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. The same goes for control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. It is not the one for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. The IOGEAR GCS82DPC 2-Port 4K Hybrid KVM suits desks pairing one DisplayPort desktop with one USB-C laptop and buyers who want a compact, bus-powered 4K switch, though it is not built for setups where both computers use the same video connector and anyone needing more than 2 USB-A peripheral ports. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the IOGEAR GCS82DPC 2-Port 4K Hybrid KVM (7.1/10): A 2-port 4K hybrid KVM mixing DisplayPort and USB-C inputs, one of IOGEAR's more modern and flexible current offerings.
