Raritan Secure Switch RSS-102C4K Review
Raritan Secure Switch RSS-102C4K 2-port DVI HDMI VGA USB audio smart card secure KVM switch, NIAP certified, tamper-evident government classified switch, 4K secure KVM
Raritan's answer to the Adder secure line, but with 4K video and audio switching built in: two isolated networks, one keyboard/mouse/monitor/speaker set, and a smart card reader that follows whichever network is active, all in a tamper-evident case.
4K and Audio in a Certified Switch
Where the Adder AVSC/AVSV/AVSD lines top out at VGA or DVI without audio, the RSS-102C4K adds HDMI at 4K resolution and full audio switching, making it a better fit for modern classified workstations with high-resolution displays and audio needs.
Tamper-Evident Design
Physical security matters as much as electrical isolation in classified spaces, the enclosure uses tamper-evident labels so any attempt to open the unit is visible on inspection.
Comparison to Alternatives
For 4 ports instead of 2, the RSS-104C4K scales up the same feature set. Raritan's own RSS-1024K drops the smart card reader for a lower price if that's not required. Adder's AVSC1102 remains a lighter-weight, VGA-only, lower-cost alternative for facilities that don't need 4K/HDMI or audio switching.
