Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs Raritan Secure Switch RSS-102C4K: Comparison
What is the difference between Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO and Raritan Secure Switch RSS-102C4K?
The gap that matters here is max resolution single display: Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO 1920x1200 against Raritan Secure Switch RSS-102C4K 3840x2160, which puts Raritan Secure Switch RSS-102C4K 72% ahead. Add usb hub ports to that, 2 on the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO versus 1 on the Raritan Secure Switch RSS-102C4K, and the pattern holds.
Who each one is for
Buy the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not built for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. It also earns its place with control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. It is not the one for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. The Raritan Secure Switch RSS-102C4K is the one to take for classified 2-network desks needing 4K HDMI video and audio switching and government facilities requiring both smart card auth and tamper-evident hardware, though it is not the pick for desks needing more than 2 connected computers and general commercial office use with no security clearance requirement. It is the wrong buy for budget-constrained secure deployments (the RSS-1024K is cheaper without smart card support). Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup.
