Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs Adder Technology Adder AV4PRO-VGA-Quad: Comparison

Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs Adder AV4PRO-VGA-Quad computers supported compared

They are built to different briefs, and computers supported shows it, Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO 4 computers, cascadable to 8 against Adder AV4PRO-VGA-Quad 4 computers. There is a split on video standard as well, DVI-I / VGA on the Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO versus VGA on the Adder AV4PRO-VGA-Quad.

Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs Adder AV4PRO-VGA-Quad: which one fits your build

The Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO suits broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not built for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. It also earns its place with control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. It is the wrong buy for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. Buy the Adder AV4PRO-VGA-Quad for legacy quad-monitor trading or control-room desks still on VGA and facilities not ready to invest in digital monitor upgrades, though it is not the pick for modern digital monitor fleets (the DVI-QUAD looks sharper) and triple-monitor or smaller setups (the Triple variant is cheaper). The same goes for buyers who want the maximum head count in Adder's analog line. Our rating of the Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the Adder AV4PRO-VGA-Quad (7/10): the most capable analog VGA option here for a legacy quad-monitor, four-computer trading desk.
