Cable Matters 201075 14-in-1 USB-C KVM also leads on usb hub ports, 2 on the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO versus 7 on the Cable Matters 201075 14-in-1 USB-C KVM.

Who each one is for

The Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO is the one to take for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not built for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. It is equally the pick for control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. It is the wrong buy for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. The Cable Matters 201075 14-in-1 USB-C KVM suits two-laptop hot-desks needing dual monitors and full docking and MacBook Pro / Thunderbolt 4 laptops needing simultaneous charging, though it is not the pick for budget single-monitor setups (see 202070/202071) and desktop-only workstations. It also earns its place with users who want card readers and audio jacks alongside KVM switching. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup.

    6.9 / 10 Expert Rating

A 14-in-1 USB-C KVM dock with 100W charging, a genuinely useful all-in-one for a 2-laptop hybrid desk; Cable Matters has a solid accessory-brand track record.
