Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO AV4PRO vs Monoprice Blackbird 4K60 4x1 KVM Switch: Comparison

What is the difference between Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO and Monoprice Blackbird 4K60 4x1 KVM Switch?

Start with max resolution, because it is the widest measured gap between them: Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO 1920x1200 against Monoprice Blackbird 4K60 4x1 KVM Switch 4096x2160, 74% in favour of Monoprice Blackbird 4K60 4x1 KVM Switch. Add max resolution single display to that, 1920x1200 on the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO versus 4096x2160 on the Monoprice Blackbird 4K60 4x1 KVM Switch, and the pattern holds.

Which should you buy, Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO or Monoprice Blackbird 4K60 4x1 KVM Switch?

The Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO is the one to take for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not the pick for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. It also earns its place with control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. It is the wrong buy for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. Take the Monoprice Blackbird 4K60 4x1 KVM Switch for buyers wanting full color fidelity and HDR pass-through across four switched HDMI sources. It is not the one for budget buyers who don't need 4:4:4 chroma and would rather save with a 4:2:0 switch. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the Monoprice Blackbird 4K60 4x1 KVM Switch (7/10): A mid-range 4-port HDMI KVM switch with full 4:4:4 chroma and HDR pass-through for AV-conscious buyers.
