Who each one is for

Buy the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is the wrong buy for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. It also earns its place with control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. Avoid it for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. Take the UGREEN 55851 8K DisplayPort KVM Switch for most users wanting a genuinely future-proof, well-built KVM switch without a highly specialized use case in mind. It is not the one for gamers specifically needing high refresh rate support at 4K, the JCYMELE's DisplayPort 1.4 implementation is the right choice for that need. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the UGREEN 55851 8K DisplayPort KVM Switch (9/10): best all-around, future-proof 8K@60Hz, aluminum build, and 4 USB 3.0 ports for most users without a specialized need.
