Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO vs ATEN CS1922: which one fits your build

The Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO is the one to take for broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not the pick for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. It also earns its place with control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. It is not the one for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. Buy the ATEN CS1922 for two DisplayPort desktops sharing one 4K60 or 1440p144 monitor and mixed Windows, Mac and Linux desks, though it is not built for USB-C-only laptops without adapters (see the ATEN CS1953) and dual 4K60 monitors. It is equally the pick for buyers who want cables and a USB 3.1 Gen 1 hub included. Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the ATEN CS1922 (8/10): the flexible two-machine DisplayPort switch: pick 4K60 or 1440p144 depending on the day.
