Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO vs Raritan Secure Switch RSS-104C4K: which one fits your build
The Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO suits broadcast and security operations needing rack-mounted, RS232-controllable switching, though it is not the pick for single-desk users who only need to switch between two computers and buyers needing HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI/VGA. The same goes for control room and NOC operators managing 4-8 machines across multiple monitors. Avoid it for budget shoppers, since modular head configurations cost more than a fixed 4-port switch. Buy the Raritan Secure Switch RSS-104C4K for multi-agency analyst desks needing 4 isolated networks with 4K video and government facilities requiring smart card auth across all connected networks, though it is the wrong buy for two-network desks (the RSS-102C4K is cheaper) and budget-constrained deployments not needing smart card support (see RSS-1044K). Our rating of the Adder Technology Adder AdderView PRO (8/10): A serious modular KVM built for control rooms that need to scale past 4 computers, overkill for a simple desk setup. Our rating of the Raritan Secure Switch RSS-104C4K (9.1/10): A top-tier certified secure KVM for multi-network analyst desks needing 4K, audio and smart card support at once.
